These individuals have proven to be true defenders of reproductive rights time and again, and we look forward to working with them to protect and expand access to reproductive health care for all New Mexicans and for our neighbors who look to us as a safe haven for care,” said Sarah Taylor-Nanista, executive director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund. “Marian Matthews is proud to have voted for legislation important to the Rio Grande Sierra Club in her first legislative session in February, reestablishing the residential solar tax credit (SB29) and enacting the Energy Grid Modernization Roadmap (HB233). She just bought her second hybrid vehicle, installed five rain barrels for her garden, recycles religiously, and convinced her law partners in the 1980s to build a passive solar office building for their firm. As a legislator she’ll fight to ensure that state government responds effectively to climate change.”
